Long life of shorts

As I like to mix together not only various styles, colors, patterns but also summer and winter clothes, I've decided to write a post about one of my favorite matching game in Autumn... Shorts. The very typical article of clothes that is associated especially with hot sunny days. But, to be honest, I prefer to wear shorts in Autumn and Winter because it's much more fun and it is quite easy to create a really interesting outfit.

How to style it? Well, it absolutely depends on you, I think you'll never be wrong. Me personally like to combine shorts and longer jackets, cardigans or coats because the length contrast looks very interesting. A cute styling can be created when matching together an oversized coat and shorts. Of course, because days get colder in autumn season, tights are necessary. And as for shoes, I prefer ankle boots :)

I often mention denim in my posts because denim is classic and for me it's a real must-have. When talking about shorts, I can't forget the denim shorts - you can wear it all the year long in various ways and it can look absolutely fabulous. I love to wear it with leather jackets, chiffon shirt and ankle boots or even oxford shoes accessorized f. e. with a big colorful pashmina or with a hat. Another way I style it is together with long oversized cardigan and some interesting belt.

But shorts are not only denim shorts and we can choose from many materials typical for autumn season - such as tweed. It's warm, so you will feel comfortable even in Winter.

Tweed shorts are a classic and there are many many ways how to wear it. There are some tips I picked for you just for inspiration.

And some more inspo...

As for materials, the third classic I would like to mention is leather. Leather shorts are great to wear in Autumn and, again, it is pretty easy to style it, to accessorize it and to create a wonderful outfit. You can choose a classic black leather shorts of many cuts...

But very good looking is also brown leather, especially in Fall...

How about you? Do you wear shorts on colder days? How do you style it? Wishing you a great weekend and a wonderful new week ahead :)

On... a plaid

The sunny weekend is finishing and because of it is said that the real autumn weather will come in next days I've decided to buy something new (something autumn) into my wardrobe... And I found a really nice shirt... better to say... a plaid shirt. Well, I've always found the plaid clothes typical for the autumn season (don't ask me why) but I haven't worn them very often because I was not very sure about how to style them and how to accessorize them to look good.

This time I changed my mind and I bought that shirt, so I would like to share with you the ways how I prefer to style the plaids. I think, it's quite easy if you want to create a really comfy and casual outfit - the plaids, in general, look great together with denim. It's a classic combination, so typical for the grunge look. If it's not too cold outside, it looks perfect with denim shorts...

But the very classic is plaid shirt and jeans. To make a casual, comfy, simple look, you don't need to make a great effort but I was wondering how to include a bit more of elegance or femininity into such a classic combination. And that is why I like to match various styles together. My favorite combination is a plaid shirt, jeans, pumps and a blazer (or even a trench), accessorized with a massive necklace, a scarf, a couple of interesting bracelets or earrings. As for the jeans, in such a combination I prefer skinnies or boyfriend cut.

However, a plaid shirt can be matched not only with jeans but it can look fabulous also together with a pair of pants of various colors and materials.

As I, in general, love the skirts, I tried to find the way to style them with a plaid shirt. It is quite easy as well, the shirt works perfect with a skirt :)

With denim again...

Or with leather...

Or you can put on even a plaid skirt...

Autumn season goes hand in hand with various kinds of jackets and blazers, so if you are into plaids, why not to put on a plaid jacket?

So... how do you prefer to wear the plaids? Do you like them? Wishing you a great new week!

Count to three and... jump!

August is gone but Summer is not giving up, so I try to enjoy the sunny days as much as possible... I feel Autumn in the air, morning are getting colder and colder and shops are full of warm clothes and new trends. But days are still full of sun and that is why I'd like to talk about one of my very favorite article of clothes that I love to wear especially in Summer... Jumpsuits. Some people love them, some people hate them. I belong to the first group.

There are plenty of kinds of jumpsuits, they can be comfy and simple, they can be elegant, they can be sporty, they can make your look extremely original and that is why I really adore them.

Well, at first I would like to mention short jumpsuits, as I'm talking about hot Summer days. They are very comfortable and easy to accessorize. You can choose from a huge variety of colors and materials, as well. A really cute are light colors in natural tones like cream, white, nude, powder contrasting with tanned skin.

Very popular are also denim short jumpsuits which are easy to be matched with various colors and styles. You can creaty an absolutely original look, just to accessorize it. A nice, casual outfit can consist of a denim jumpsuit, plain white shirt - you are free to accessorize it in as creative way as you want.

However, not only casual, comfy outfits can be created with short jumpsuits.

The second group consists of long jumpsuits which I really adore because I find them very easy to wear and I can't forget to mention that they can be pretty elegant. My most favorite one is black, long, of simple cut. I love to accessorize it with some gold details, such as belts, bracelets, headbands, purses, shoes...

Another amazing alternative is cobalt blue... Like the black one, I like the combination together with gold accents but it's not the only way how to style it.

Summer goes along together with flowers and why not put on a floral jumpsuit?

Another alternative...

And one in more Autumn colors...

What about you? Do you like to wear jumpsuits? Do you have any?

The GrapChic essence

The last August weekend... This morning I was wondering how to choose the ideal outfit to spend a lazy Saturday in the city... and I put on an oversized graphic tee with denim shorts, sandals, some bracelets and shades. I felt so relaxed! Then I decided to write a post about graphic tee in general. When you want to feel really comfortable and you feel like dressing more casual, you can't forget this universal piece of style :)

First of all - you can be as creative as you want to when wearing a printed t-shirt. Why not to play with colours, patterns and make an interesting and unique outfit. It's also very easy to accessorize because almost all is allowed.

A very simple way how to style this tee is to match it together with shorts. It's not complicated, it's easy, good-looking and absolutely classic. No matter if you choose denim or other kind of material, shorts always get on with graphic tee :) As for accessorize, don't worry to put together various styles - if you have a simple basic, there's a lot of space for creativity.

If it's colder or if you just don't want to wear shorts, there's another classic - printed tee & jeans. Good-working combo as well. I really love this two pieces together and on colder days I like to combine them with a plain black jacket and pumps on high heels. Great looking idea is also an interesting scarf wrapped around neck.

Instead of classic jeans they're many other colour and material combination...

It's never been said that with a graphic tee one can look just casual... I'm a lot into the casual elegance and this is the way how to create a very good looking outfit. It is very easy to add a little bit of elegance...

In my last post I was talking about mid skirts and as a graphic tee goes great together with them, I couldn't forget to mention them now. Here just a black & white combination with a couple of red accents - a very simple and easygoing look.

If someone doesn't fancy the midi skirts, why not a maxi or mini one - it be always good looking :)

As I mentioned before, this tee is very easy to accessorize and it allows you to be as creative as you want. When you would like to match together various patterns, let's do it... Here only a few examples of animal pattern mix...

Or another one combo of various patterns...

So what about you? Do you like wearing a graphic tee? How do you style it? Wishing you a great last weekend in August and a wonderful September :)

My midi-challenge

If there was something I was not much into in fashion trends, it was a midi skirt. Not because I didn't like it but just because I had no idea how to style it to look good. But more women in midi skirts I saw more I wondered if I could be able to find the clue how to wear them as well. And then I bought my first midi skirt... and I said to myself: It's a challenge. And it is said that the key to life is accepting challenges - once someone stops doing this, he's dead. :)

Well, now I can admit that I love wearing the mid skirts. They're pretty feminine, can be extremely original and can look just gorgeous if you find the way how to feel good while wearing them. And this is the most important thing - one must feel good while wearing them.

And now some of examples how I like to style them. First of all, there is a huge variety of midi skirts. Pleated, tube... If I want to add a bit of elegance into my everydays' look, I prefer to wear a tube midi skirt. It's up to you if you choose a plain black one which is very easy to accessorize and it can look absolutely great or if you grab something more colorful.

Tube classic?

A plain tube black mid skirt is a must-have for me. No matter if it's Summer or Winter, it can be worn in every season. It's extremely easy to accessorize, it can look sophisticated or even sexy, if you would like to. One thing I never forget when when wearing this piece - heels. To be honest, I never wear it without high heels shoes.

The great way to style it is matching it together with oversized tee, shirt or with a chiffon blouse. I like to combine it with various belts and in Winter with some interesting tights.

Flowing passion

And now... my favorite one. The chiffon midi. The first time I saw it I just said - no, that's not for me. But, as you can see, I changed my mind and it's became one of my favorite pieces to wear. I just love the way it flows... it makes me dream about a hot windy day by the sea. And that is why I love to wear it especially on late Autumn days - it just reminds me of Summer.

Or with more color contrast...

If there is the way how to style chiffon midi which I adore - it is the combination together with a leather jacket. The contrast of these two pieces looks great.

There are many color matches which could look fabulous...

And what about you? Do you like mid skirts? :)

Wanna bloom... on gloomy autumn days

It's raining... the first day after such a long time when it seems to be Autumn makes me think of the way how to create your personal Summer even on gloomy autumn or winter days. Sometimes it could be really difficult, especially when there is pretty cold outside, it's pouring with rain and your only wish is to get into the bed and sleep until there is the Spring again. But you can make it a bit easier... with floral patterns :)

Although it has been written and said a lot about floral patterns, very often they are connected only with Spring and Summer. All those floral dresses, blouses, skirts...

As you can see, they are many ways how to style them when you don't need to wear a lot to protect yourself from the cold weather. But why not let them brighten a gloomy cold day in November?

So... let me show you some of my favorite tips how to include a little floral in an outfit :)

Bag me

If you don't feel like dress yourself as a flower in bloom, you could just accessorize with floral accents. There are plenty of ways how to do it but one of them seems to be quite interesting and not too usual. Take a floral bag or purse. There is wide variety of them, so you are free to choose whatever you like and I think it can be a very cute and in some cases even extraordinary :)

If you feel like create an interesting mixture of floral patterns, take a look here...

Another, maybe more inconspicuous (but not less creative) way how to make your autumn/winter look bloom a little bit, is to take a floral scarf. It's pretty challenging as they are really many scarves like that! :)

Bloom

If there is not too much cold you can put on one of those cute floral jackets... A great match could be with a leather skirt and plain shirt, wonderful combination is also with denim...

Now, I'd like to show you some of the looks I've found as a good insipiration for colder days...

Or even colder days...

Another...

And I can't forget!

But, for now, enjoy the Summer ;)
